Certified by DONA as a birth doula, Amy Wright Glenn supports both the expecting mother and her partner in being fully informed regarding many birth options. As a birth doula, Glenn meets with each client twice in the last trimester of her pregnancy. One meeting focuses on the development of a birth plan, the second meeting is dedicated to a prenatal yoga class for the client and her partner. She is available for phone or email consultation and support throughout the final weeks of the pregnancy. Providing powerful, gentle, and compassionate support, Glenn stays with the mother through the labor and birth and returns to visit the new family a few weeks later for a post partum visit. All of these services are included in the doula fee of $700. Anytime day or night, whether birthing at home, a hospital, or a birthing center, Glenn embraces DONA's mission to "provide a doula for everyone woman that wants one". Glenn also helps organize a monthly meeting for doulas in the central New Jersey area and is instrumental in helping women seeking doulas find a match through this network. “Follow your bliss and don’t be afraid.
