At its essence, yoga practice enables us to be fully awake to what is present here and now. And what is present here and now? A powerful and profound mystery that pervades not only the physical self, but the known universe and beyond. Called many names over the course of human history, this energy can stagnate in the body and mind locking us into defeating patterns of self perception and physical stress/ailments. Amy Wright Glenn approaches yoga practice through both an intellectual understanding of various traditions of yoga and an experiential awareness of the profound effect that conscious moving/breathing and meditation provide. With 16 years of practice and study, along with three trips to India (for a combined study of over a year), Glenn finds her home in the Kripalu yoga tradition. Yoga involves consciously and energetically linking that which suffers from the experience of separation back to the mystery of life's wholeness. Whether we are feeling separate from our bodies, emotions, relations, or our own life's meaning/purpose, yoga offers practical and powerful techniques that have been clinically proven to decrease the hormones of stress in the body and improve the function of concentration and relaxation. Yoga and meditation are powerful gifts that can help one live in a way that is fully alive and in harmony with the light within.

"The Practice of yoga will not lead you to purity; Silencing the mind will not lead you to purity; The Guru's instructions will not lead you to purity. That purity is your Essence; It's your very own Consciousness."
Avadhuta Gita
